Rangers activate OF Wyatt Langford, option INF Justin Foscue

The Texas Rangers activated outfielder Wyatt Langford from the 10-day IL on Saturday and optioned infielder Justin Foscue to Triple-A Round Rock.

Langford spent the minimum time allotted on the injured list as he was designated with a left oblique strain on June 25.

The Rangers’ 2023 first-round draft pick (No. 4 overall) leads the club with 13 home runs in 2025 and has added 10 doubles, 31 RBIs and 11 steals. He is slashing .232/.308/.421 in 67 games.

Foscue appeared in three games — all against the Orioles — and had one hit (a two-run RBI double on July 1) in six plate appearances.

In addition, the Rangers announced the signing of veteran Rowdy Tellez to a minor-league contract. He has been assigned to Triple-A Round Rock.

Tellez, 30, is an eight-year MLB veteran who appeared in 62 games for Seattle in 2025. He hit 11 home runs for the Mariners and last played on June 17 vs. Boston. The first baseman/designated hitter has 116 career home runs for the Mariners, Pittsburgh Pirates (2024), Milwaukee Brewers (2021-23) and Toronto Blue Jays (2018-21).
