Pete Crow-Armstrong and Michael Conforto also homered and right-hander Aaron Civale (6-7) pitched four innings of scoreless relief as the Cubs snapped a three-game losing streak. Chicago brought home nine runs in the eighth inning and tallied 17 hits in the beatdown.
Randy Arozarena homered for the Mariners, who had won five of its previous seven games. Arozarena, who hit leadoff and walk-off homers Saturday, went deep again in the first inning Sunday to left field off Cubs starter Shota Imanaga. He became the second player to ever hit consecutive leadoff homers with a walk-off in between, duplicating Crow-Armstrong’s feat from earlier in the week.
Seattle starter Bryce Miller (4-8) allowed just two hits over 4 1/3 innings but was tagged for six runs due in large part to his seven walks. Imanaga lasted two-plus innings and gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits. It was the Mariners’ second lopsided loss of the week, following their 22-0 road loss at Milwaukee on Tuesday.
Braves 4, Brewers 2
Tyler Mahle threw five-plus solid innings to continue his impressive run and Michael Harris II homered to help Atlanta post a victory over Milwaukee in the MLB Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pa.
Mahle (5-10) allowed one run on six hits. Mahle has a 1.52 ERA in four starts since being traded from the San Francisco Giants. Raisel Iglesias earned a four-out save for Atlanta, which had dropped five of its prior six games. Michael Harris connected on his 21st homer of the season to give Atlanta an insurance run in the top of the ninth.

Philadelphia did not score until Edmundo Sosa’s three-run double with two outs in the ninth. Bryan De La Cruz tied it with a single through the left side, and then Schwarber followed by launching a mammoth homer off the batter’s eye in center field, delivering the Phillies’ first walk-off homer in more than three years.
Phillies star left-hander Cristopher Sanchez gave up four runs and nine hits in 6 2/3 innings. Alec Burleson knocked in a pair of runs and Jose Fermin homered for St. Louis, which concluded its season-long road trip with a 5-6 record. Tampa Bay’s Nick Martinez pitched six one-hit innings and three relievers completed the task in a victory against Baltimore to avoid a series sweep.
Chandler Simpson had two hits, including a run-scoring single to cap off the Rays’ three-run sixth inning. Martinez (13-4) struck out four batters without issuing a walk. The only hit he allowed was Colton Cowser’s one-out double in the third inning. American League-best Tampa Bay won for only the third time in their last 10 games.
Cowser had both of the Orioles’ hits, including a ninth-inning home run off Bryan Baker, who recorded his 37th save of the season. Shane Baz (4-14), who’s winless in his last 12 starts, was charged with three runs on five hits in 5 2/3 innings against his former team.

Muncy crushed a 1-2 fastball from Astros reliever Steven Okert (6-2) 409 feet to center field, snapping a 6-6 deadlock. That was the deciding blow against the Astros, who dropped into a tie atop the American League West with the Texas Rangers.
The Athletics trailed 6-0 entering the top of the fifth before fashioning the comeback with a six-run inning, first against Astros starter Cristian Javier before continuing it against reliever Enyel De Los Santos. The big blow was a three-run homer by No. 9 hitter Brian Serven.

Nick Loftin and John Rave hit home runs as Kansas City outlasted visiting Detroit to finish off a 7-0 homestand, part of an eight-game winning streak.
Loftin was 3-for-4 with four RBIs out of the leadoff spot for the Royals. The long ball by Loftin was the highlight of a five-run second for Kansas City. Rave had the big hit in the fifth, a 407-foot two-run homer, after RBI doubles by Vinnie Pasquantino and Salvador Perez. All four runs were charged to left-hander Andrew Sears, who was making his MLB debut.
