TGL will remain on ESPN in the United States after the sides agreed to a multiyear extension of their media rights partnership, ESPN and TMRW Sports announced Thursday.
The agreement’s financial terms were not disclosed.
ESPN has served as the domestic broadcast home of the team indoor golf league since its debut in 2025. The extension comes ahead of TGL’s third season, which is scheduled to begin Dec. 27 at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
The league will expand from six to seven teams with the addition of Motor City Golf Club.
“TGL has given golf something genuinely new, with top PGA Tour players competing in a fast-paced, made-for-primetime team format that puts fans closer to the action than ever before,” said Rosalyn Durant, ESPN executive vice president of programming and acquisitions.
TGL was created by TMRW Sports, which was founded by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and sports executive Mike McCarley. Woods and McIlroy are among the PGA Tour players who compete in the league.
Matches combine simulator golf with live short-game play inside the purpose-built SoFi Center.
TMRW Sports said more than 30% of TGL viewers report they do not regularly watch other professional golf, a group the league has targeted with its shorter team format and primetime scheduling.
“ESPN has been the ultimate partner in helping establish TGL,” TMRW Sports golf president Rufus Hack said.
Los Angeles Golf Club enters the upcoming season as the defending champion.
TGL said it will announce its complete schedule, along with broadcast teams and production details, before the season begins.
